Claire- our lovely office manager - the friendly face and voice that greets you.

THAT provide high quality food packs put together from donated and bought food items.

We include a large variety of foods - tinned, frozen and fresh items (when available).   We also have cleaning and toiletry packs.   Each pack is designed to last 8 days.  Pictured on the right is an example of one of our packs, although each pack varies according to the client's needs and what we have in stock. Pet food, baby food and nappies (when in stock) are also available.

We also provide special packs for clients who are  homeless that contain items that can be prepared without the use of a cooker or kitchen equipment.

We also supply gas and electricity top-ups.

You do not need a referral for your first request for help and accept proof of receipt of benefit.  For on-going support referrals are available from CAB, Housing Association, Council Housing Dept, Schools, Job Centre, Churches, Support workers etc.  Please contact us for details.

Food Packs

We also provide Home Start packs for clients unable to afford essential items who may be moving into a new home, supported lodgings, sheltered accommodation or a B&B.

Our Home Start packs can include bedding, crockery (plates, bowls, knives and forks etc), cleaning products, bathroom products, a kettle and toaster, and pots, pans and cooking equipment depending on the clients specific needs.

We also supply microwaves for those without cooking facilities.

OUR PREMISES

At THAT, we believe that the most effective way to alleviate poverty is by working with our clients to help tackle the underlying issues that are causing them financial difficulties.

Our volunteers are always happy to offer information to improve the lives of members of the community.

We can also help our clients take action and will refer clients to organisations who can help with issues that we can't.  We can arrange to accompany them to these appointments where appropriate.

Our volunteers are always happy to sit down for a friendly chat and a cup of tea if you have any questions or worries. Just drop by our shop.
