Our
Story...
The Beginning.
Teignbridge Homeless Action Today (THAT) Food Bank was set up in 2011, initially to address the needs of rough sleepers but, at the request of Social Services and the local council, it soon developed into a much needed food bank.
We moved to our current premises - T.H.A.T. Place on Buckland in 2014 - where we have storage with extra strong shelving donated by Tesco and an office space kindly recently refurbished thanks to M&S. We receive no Government support and rely entirely on fundraising, grants and donations.

We work closely with partner agencies such as CAB, CAP, DCH, the local housing department, housing associations, drug and alcohol projects, children’s charities, doctors, schools etc.
We aim to offer a friendly, non-judgemental and positive welcome to vulnerable claimants in financial difficulty in Teignbridge.
