Mission
Our aim is to support families and individuals by providing lower priced food than you'd find in the supermarkets. We know the cost of a weekly food shop is on the rise, and we want to help make your money stretch further.
Whether you work full time, part time, are in receipt of benefits or anything in between, we are here to support you. You do not need a referral to use the Community Pantry.
Our Community Pantry is open Wednesday afternoons from 2pm until 4pm in Number 11, Queensway (just down the road from the food bank).
Fancy a cup of tea or coffee whilst shopping? We're able to provide that too.
How it works
You pay a small fee (£5.00) and we provide the food - it's as simple as that! A minimum of 10 items is guaranteed from a range of categories:

Refrigerated goods

Drinks

AND MORE!
We can accept cash or card payments in the Community Pantry.
There may sometimes be extra items that are free to take (for example, items which are past their best before date, but still usable). We might also be able to offer toiletries and cleaning products.
Disclaimer: Due to the suppliers that we use for the Community Pantry, we are unable to guarantee what will be available to purchase week to week.
