An exciting new offer from THAT Foodbank, launching Thursday 4th June 2026.
Mission
Our aim is to support families and individuals by providing lower priced food than you'd find in the supermarkets. We know the cost of a weekly food shop is on the rise, and we want to help make your money stretch further.
We're also keen to reduce food waste by rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to those in our community.
Whether you work full time, part time, are in receipt of benefits or anything in between, we are here to support you. Unlike the Foodbank, you do not need a referral to use the Teign Community Store
The Teign Community Store is open on Thursday afternoons from 2.30pm until 4pm in Number 11, Queensway (just down the road from the food bank).
How it works
You pay a small fee (£5.00) and we provide the food - it's as simple as that!
There's a range of categories available:

We can accept cash or card payments in the Community Store.
There may sometimes be extra items that are free to take (for example, items which are past their best before date, but still usable). We might also be able to offer toiletries and cleaning products.
Disclaimer: Due to the main suppliers that we use for the Community Store (FareShare South West), we are unable to guarantee what will be available to purchase week to week.
