Are you looking for a way to make a real difference?

Collect food donations from supermarkets, suppliers, and drop-off points
Deliver food parcels to families and individuals in need

A few hours of your time 1 day a week can change lives - including your own.

At THAT Foodbank's Teign Community Store we believe in the power of community. We're looking for volunteers to join us on our new venture on Thursday afternoons from 2.00pm - 4.15pm.

The role includes:

Assist in taking delivery of stock from FareShare (on Wednesday afternoon around 1.45pm).
Moving stock from our main food bank buildings as appropriate).
Sorting and checking dates on donated food items.
Setting out food on appropriate tables (with guidance from the Community Store Manager).
Welcome clients warmly and maintain confidentiality.
Provide advice and guidance to clients on how to use the Community Store.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of premises.

Potentially take and record information from clients.
Potentially take cash and card payments from clients (full training will be given).

We're currently looking for at least one trustee to join our existing board of four trustees. We're particularly keen to hear from people who have fundraising and marketing experience, although this is not a requirement.

As a trustee, you'll work alongside a dedicated team to provide strategic leadership, ensure good governance, and help us continue delivering vital services to our community.

No previous trustee experience is needed - we're looking for people with enthusiasm, sound judgement and a commitment to our values. Team working and general business experience are also key.
